Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1995 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the music press and bloggers. The artist has already recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis in a commercial for Christmas by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. This brought her some attention. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a keyboard within her loft and being fascinated by its music. Her parents May-Britt as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but to grow. Thus, she began her own compositions. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as a love for Bjork's style. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music in front of the public, but not to achieve fame, but rather in order to show others how important they are and the good they do for humanity. The mother of her child suggested that she perform her songs publicly in order to make people aware of their importance and the ways they impact the world. They didn't even be aware until fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. She claims that she enjoys composing music. She believes music can make people feel more relaxed.
